GREAT AMERICAN BEER FESTIVAL

GABF, the largest beer festival in the US, hosts 800 breweries with 4,000 beers. The grooms will be there on Thursday night! If you want to join, click here to buy tickets!

We love a great cocktail. Some of our favorite places? Poka Lola, Nearby Bar, Emerald Eye, or Room for Milly. Want a solid speakeasy? Try Hell or High Water, Retrograde, or Run for the Roses.

CASA BONITA

A Denver icon revitalized by the South Park guys and SAR+ (Avik’s firm!). Must be seen to be believed! A Mexican restaurant meets Disneyland with waterfalls, cliff divers, shows, and more!

FOOD HALLS

Looking for chill food options and Denver vibes? Check out Denver Central Market and Avanti in the city, or Edgewater Public Market and Stanley Marketplace a quick drive away.

ART + ARCHITECTURE

DENVER UNION STATION

The living room of the city where trains meet, including the airport A-line. This 1914 building fell into disrepair and was lovingly restored in 2014 and serves as a hub of activity.

MEOW WOLF

Meow Wolf Convergence Station by SAR+ (Avik’s firm!) is home to a surreal, interactive, walk-through art experience in unique worlds. Visit the Perplexiplex and try cocktails at Sips (with a Z)!

POPULUS

The first ‘carbon positive’ hotel in the country, Populus by Studio Gang draws inspiration from native Aspen trees to inform the hotel’s biophilic design. Stop by the rooftop bar for a view!

OLYMPIC & PARALYMPIC MUSEUM

A visit to Colorado Springs brings you to the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum. Designed by Diller, Scofidio, & Renfro, this incredible building and world-class museum celebrates the human spirit.

RiNo MURALS

The RiNo Arts District is home to over 100+ murals, from local to international artists invited to participate in annual festivals. Click here to visit the website with mural locations.

CLYFFORD STILL MUSEUM

Dedicated to the work of artist Clyfford Still, known best for his abstract art, the museum designed by Brad Cloepfil of Allied Works is a concrete masterpiece and Avik’s favorite Denver building.

DENVER ART MUSEUM

The DAM is home to 70,000 works of art across 12 collections. It’s known for the pointy building designed by Daniel Liebskind and the fortress building designed by Gio Ponti.

KIRKLAND MUSEUM

This fine & decorative art museum designed by Jim Olsen is known for its striking yellow terra cotta and houses Vance Kirkland’s studio, which was lifted and driven to the new museum location.

MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART

The MCA, designed by David Adjaye, is known for it’s dark and reflective exterior. The museum has is no permanent collection and cycles exhibitions every few months.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK

Colorado is home to four incredible National Parks. Under 90 minutes away, the scenic RMNP is split on the Continental Divide and reaches a breathtaking elevation of 14,259 feet.

WEEKEND MARKETS

One of the best local experiences are through our markets. Our favorites are South Pearl Street (Sun 9AM-1PM), Highlands (Sun 9AM-1PM), and Union Station (Sat | Sun 12PM-6PM).

RED ROCKS AMPHITHEATER

Red Rocks is nestled between red sandstone rocks and often considered the best outdoor concert venue in the world. Here’s who’s playing: TBA (Thu), TBA (Sun).

DENVER BOTANIC GARDENS

This 23-acre park features North America's largest collection of plants from cold temperate climates and has the first conservatory in America made entirely of concrete and plexiglas.

MOUNT FALCON PARK

A beautiful hike just outside town provides views beyond the front range. Drive to the West Trailhead and explore the Castle Trail, Walker’s Dream Trail, and the historic ruins of Walker Castle.

BOULDER TRAILS

Just 45 minutes away, Boulder has plenty of sights to explore: from Chautauqua Park and the Royal Arch Trail, to the immaculate Tajik Dushanbe Tea House and lively Pearl Street.

UNIQUE EXPERIENCES

WINGS OVER THE ROCKIES

This Air & Space Museum is located in Hangar 1 of the former Lowry Air Force Base and is dedicated to displaying iconic aircraft, space vehicles, artifacts, military uniforms, and more.

OAKWELL BEER SPA

After experiencing a Beer Spa in Iceland, we love our annual trip to Oakwell. It combines a craft beer taproom with beer bath hydrotherapy and an infrared sauna for pure relaxation!

INTERACTIVE GAMES

We love technology-infused mini-golf at Puttshack, smart darts at Flight Club, and tech games at Activate and Beat the Bomb. Or try bocce-golf at Lob and giant games at Bierstadt Lagerhaus!
